Revolutionising the Advertising Business – AI Generated Videos

In a world moving at the speed of light, where consumer attention is the most valuable currency, video content has become a key tool for every successful advertising campaign. Motion products are used everywhere – on websites, TV, social media, news editions, creative platforms – both commercial and non-profit. Everyone strives to publish captivating video content. Even ordinary hobbyists, who are passionate about displaying their self-made artifacts for others to admire and comment on them, struggle to learn basic video editing to assemble and show their collections and achievements. The issue is that creating a video takes time, effort, skillset, knowledge and in most cases it costs money. This is a large pack of elements which is not available to everyone.
But what if we could create videos not only faster but also smarter and cheaper? The answer is: utilise the assistance of AI. The use of artificial intelligence in the video production process is like having a whole team of experts working around the clock. AI can be involved at any stage of creating a video:
- Script & storyboarding: AI can analyze large datasets to identify successful themes and generate script ideas.
- Content generation: AI generators like VEO, Runway, and Kling enable the creation of realistic videos from text or static images, accurately reproducing the mood, atmosphere, and lighting in the scene.
- Editing and post-production: AI can automatically cut, assemble shots, add effects, and optimize colors, saving hours of manual work. AI tools become more and more capable of resolving routine editing tasks. Platforms like Adobe Premiere Pro’s Runway and Sensei AI can automatically cut and assemble raw materials, to make suggestions on the best takes, to perform color grading, and even to generate transitions or effects. All this drastically decreases the need for manual work and allows the editors to focus on the creative aspects instead of on repetitive technical tasks.
There are multiple advantages of involving AI in the process of video creation. Artificial intelligence can greatly reduce the costs by eliminating the need for expensive equipment, actors, shooting crews, and locations. AI provides a much faster turnaround by creating a video in minutes instead of days or weeks. It can boost creativity with new, unexpected, and innovative ideas and support designers by freeing them from routine tasks, allowing focus on strategic and creative aspects. It even affects the scalability and personalization due to its ability to create customized versions for different audience segments.
The AI technologies are rapidly developing and current trends and innovations include:
- Greater realism: new models continuously improve quality, removing artificial feel and making movements smoother.
- Content control: developers focus on giving users more control over the final result, such as precise camera, lighting, motion, and style management.
- Integration with other platforms: AI video tools are increasingly integrating with popular editing software, streamlining the workflow. For example, Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects use Adobe Sensei, which automatically generates subtitles, removes pauses, optimizes audio, and even extends short clips. Canva offers AI-generated videos powered by Google Veo 3, which can be edited directly within Canva’s interface. Instagram has launched the Edits app, which provides AI-animated effects and tools, similar to CapCut.
- Customized AI models: companies will be able to train their own AI models with their brand style and vision to create consistent content. Companies are rapidly adopting platforms to train their own AI models based on their unique brand style and vision, thereby ensuring content consistency. Multiple platforms offer this capability to create brand-specific content that strictly adheres to corporate visual and voice guidelines. For example, Adobe Firefly Custom Models allows teams to train AI with their own assets, ensuring brand compliance. Similar solutions are offered by Superside, Synthesia (for custom AI avatars), and Runway. Leading global brands such as Accenture, PepsiCo/Gatorade, and Unilever are already using these custom models (through platforms like Adobe Firefly or NVIDIA Omniverse) to personalize content at scale, maintain strict brand compliance, and drastically accelerate production timelines.
- Sound generation: Google’s Veo 3 is a pioneer for sound in AI videos, allowing synchronization of music, voices, and sound effects. Other tools, like Kling, experiment with automatic sound design, enabling creators to quickly add custom audio to videos. This development is particularly valuable in advertising, where personalized sound can boost engagement, reinforce brand identity, and dramatically reduce production time.
Just imagine what all of the above could mean to everyone who needs a video created no matter the purpose – advertisement, personal use, corporate events, informational materials… Only the sky is the limit.
In the advertising business, time is money. AI video offers a quick, efficient, and cost-effective way to produce high-quality content. This is especially valuable for social media where you can create multiple short, personalized ads for different platforms; for product videos where you can generate product demonstrations in no time; for prototyping to test various advertising concepts even before investing in expensive production.
Of course, there are some disadvantages of using AI for video creation as well. The most significant ones are the quality and lack of emotion. Despite the rapid progress, AI generated videos may still look slightly unnatural or have defects. They also may look odd in some cases because AI still struggles to convey genuine human emotions and nuances. Time will show what improvements will become available but the developments are daily and are so many that experts struggle to grasp them all.
An additional practical limitation, which is especially challenging for high-quality advertising, is the limited size and duration of the final product. Most leading platforms currently generate clips in short segments, often limited to 5–10 seconds. Furthermore, the maximum resolution often falls below the high standards required for TV broadcasting or large-screen digital campaigns, necessitating additional upscaling in post-production. However, more and more platforms are now offering HD and even 4K.
Chromeye’s Experience with AI Video – A Practical Example from the Music Industry
Our team has dedicated significant time to experimenting with AI. Our Senior Motion Designer Ivo Seferov achieved remarkable results in the music industry.
One example is the music clip below. The entire video for Irina Florin’s single Magic was created from A to Z with Kling AI. Only one photo of Irina Florin’s face and three images of her outfits were used as source materials. Here Ivo intentionally generated different and impressive environments and locations—ranging from futuristic cities with skyscrapers and deserts to imaginary Roman temples floating in the sky and futuristic interiors—to maximize visual impact and demonstrate AI-generated video capabilities.
Another very successful project is the music video of Panayot Panayotov, which shows the huge potential of AI for genre-specific and atmospheric content.
These examples demonstrate how AI not only reduces costs and shortens timelines but also enables unlimited creativity, allowing us to realize visions that would otherwise be impossible or far too expensive if following the traditional production.
And here are some of the most popular technologies and software options for AI video generating, according to Chromeye’s team:
- VEO: One of the leading AI video generators known for high quality and realism.
- Runway: A platform offering a wide range of AI tools for video production, including generation, editing, and effects.
- Kling: Rapidly growing generator focused on creating short, dynamic videos.
- Stable Diffusion: An AI model that can generate images and videos from text.
Generating video products with the use of AI is not just a fleeting trend but a fundamental change in how we create content. It offers the advertising industry a unique opportunity to be faster, more effective, and more creative than ever before. Instead of seeing AI as a threat, we should embrace it as a powerful partner helping us tell more impressive stories and achieve exceptional results in the advertising industry and beyond. Today it is possible by utilising AI to close the gap between the large production powerhouse and the small creative studio with limited team and resources but abundance of talent…
